Back to CDO-Laykan's First Day-Chicken Pox...

I'm sad to say that the all day everyday childcare didn't work out for Londyn. I'm not sure if it was the structure or what but my little girl didn't like it. Day one was fine but day 2 she cried when we got here. By day 3, she was crying 4 blks before we even arrived at the school. What would have been day 4, I let her stay home with Laykan since they still weren't back in school. And Friday, day 5 I did the same. Londyn went to bed telling me she didn't want to go to "new school" and woke up telling me she wanted to stay home. This is like my child. She loves to play with other children and she loves doing new things. I was able to get her slot back at children's day out which is a huge blessing.

Laykan started her first day of her Freshman year. This is such an exciting time. She is on drill team again this year so we will be very busy with games, parties and school activities. I love this girl with my whole heart. She is beautiful inside and out. Although she has her (teenage) moments, she is a very good kid. She makes good choices and acts right for the most part.

Last Friday, Londyn started throwing up for no apparent reason. She did this a couple of times from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and then by Friday evening she started to develop spots on her arms. Her fever spiked and by Saturday morning she had more spots and felt pretty yucky. So even though there is a vaccine out there (Londyn has had it), one can still get chicken pox. Thank God we are only dealing with a very mild case.

Londyn goes back to school.

Today was Londyn's first day at her new school. She did so good. She went right in and started to play. We have been working on all her new friends' names as well as her new teacher. I'm very excited to get off work and go get her. I can hardly wait to hear how her first day went.

25th High School Reunion...

First, let me start by saying I have never been to a Velcro Pygmies gig. It was very entertaining to say the least. The weekend was about getting together with friends from high school, have a laugh or two and going out for a night on the town. I accomplished all three things I set out to do. It was great to see friends I hadn't seen in awhile. We talked and laughed and had a blast!!!

Guess who pee-peed in the potty?

Last week, Londyn decided to go to the potty. We were about to get into the bath and she just sat on her potty and went. I was so excited for her. We had to call my mom, Laykan (who was at teen night) and Sandy to let them know about it. She hasn't shown any interest in going since then but still a pretty big deal for a child under the age of 2. Go Nunny!!! Nunny is what she calls herself. Instead on Londy, it comes out Nunny.

Drill Team pictures and ABC's...

Yesterday was team pictures for drill. The following are just a few of the ones I was able to snap while the professional was doing individuals. I will post some of those once I have them. It so hard for me to believe Laykan is a freshman this year. I'm so proud of the young lady she is. My baby girl is growing into the most beautiful young woman.

Below is a video I took of Londyn yesterday. She has learned to say her ABC's and it is the cutest thing ever. It cracks me up as you will hear in the video. Love this baby girl!!!
